Wedding Venues in Dorset

As a wedding photographer and local to the Poole and Bournemouth area, I've visited a number of wedding venues. On this page I've listed a few wedding venues to help give couples a good start for when it comes to deciding which wedding venue is right for them. Upton Park - www.uptoncountrypark.org

Upton Manor picture A Grade II listed building built in 1818. The house includes five reception rooms which are ideally suited and can be booked for civil wedding ceremonies. The House is open to the public on certain Sundays throughout the year.This location offers numerous picturesque locations for wedding photographs around the park, including a romantic gazebo a beautiful setting for a wedding picture.
Parley Manor – www.parleymanorweddings.co.uk

Parley Manor Picture This enchanting Georgian Manor house set in 4 acres of parkland and picturesque gardens is sure to provide you and your wedding guests with an enjoyable and memorable day. Your wedding reception would be held in an elegant marquee situated in a beautiful Italian walled garden. The marquee is fully equipped with all the latest comforts but still retains that unique and magical feel of an English country house.

The Guild Hall has a large modern room for weddings with a beautiful historic frontage with two winding staircases – perfect for wedding pictures. It’s difficult to find information about the Hall online as it’s run by Poole council.

Compton Acres Compton Acres caters for weddings in it’s beautiful Italian villa, set in stunning surroundings of fountains and gardens. Take a look at their website which has a great selection of photos from previous wedding ceremonies.

 Merley HouseSet in large spacious grounds the house has a lot of character which would by idyllic for a wedding picture background. The rooms are spacious and elegant lending itself to be a wonderful wedding venue.

Lulworth Castle - http://www.lulworth.com/

 Lulworth CastleIf you’ve always wanted the fairytale castle setting for your wedding then take a look at Lulworth Castle. Originally built as a hunting lodge to host hunting parties for King James I, the castle history dates back 400 years.

High Cliff Castle - http://www.highcliffecastle.co.uk/

Highcliffe Castle A gorgeous Georgian mansion designed for 3rd Earl of Bute, one of the founders of Kew Gardens. The website has a video of the grounds and wedding venue to give you a feel of how your ceremony could look.
